INTO HIS IMAGE – POWER
ALL Power belongs to God and to God alone. (Psalm 62:11)His is the ABSOLUTE power. There is none greater, none above, beneath, or besides HIM. He alone is omnipotent. One day every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is LORD. According to Psalm 2, “He who sits in the heavens shall laugh,” at those who rulers who take counsel together against the LORD and against His anointed. Evidence of His amazing power is all round us in the universe, listen to the loudest thunder as a whisper compared the sound of His thunder. The sun is but a candle flickering in the sky compared to His unlimited power. In fact, the sun gets it power source from our Omnipotent, All Powerful, God.
Because I am made in the image of the God of all power, to whom nothing is impossible, I can do all things. Yes, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Nothing is therefore impossible to me.( Philippians 4:13)God has made me in His powerful image to rule and reign in His kingdom, to take dominion over the work of His hand. (Genesis 1) I am more powerful and have access to more power, than I can think or imagine. My God exposes His power in varies ways, primarily through the spoken word. Therefore, there is power in my words. The Word of God is more powerful and active. Sharper than a two-edged sword….(Hebrews 4:12).I have unlimited access to His Word, it is near me, even on my tongue.
As I meditate more and more on God’s Word, I’m realizing that it’s penetrating my soul and shaping how I think. While I have increased time meditating on His Word, I know that I must marinate in it even more, until it flows freely from my tongue. Until it becomes life, grows wings and flies.
Today I will remember that God’s power is all around me, and in me. That when circumstances and people take counsel against me, or when the accuser comes against me, that God laughs at their pitiful attempts and protects His anointed. I am HIS anointed. Also, today when I’m presented with a seemingly impossible opportunity, I must remember that God has deposited His power to overcome. I remember that He has made me to be the head and not the tail. (Deuteronomy 28)That greater is He is me than he that is in the world. That I am an overcomer, and do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)
I will be intentional to remember than I am more powerful than I can imagine and have access to an unlimited power source in Christ. I am the head, therefore today I will choose to lead my soul, body and spirit to follow Christ in blissful obedience. Because of His power that resides within me, I can do all things. Realizing that I have a powerful vehicle that can go 120 mph, I must still obey the speed limits and exercise His power within His control. As His daughter, it is my delight to let Him dictate my speed and power usage for His glory and honor. I shall use His power at my disposal to bear much fruit to glorify Him. Because power and dominion does not come naturally to me, I must practice it every day, in word and deed. I will look for opportunities during the day to exercise my God given power and authority on the earth. Jesus walked in power and authority, therefore, I will also walk in authority, for He said, “All things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23)and “we shall do ever greater things because I [Jesus] go to the Father.” (John 14:12)
