A GREAT MYSTERY

A GREAT MYSTERY

One of the greatest mysteries  is not that we were made in the image of God, but that God made Himself to become in the image of man whom He created. He became like us, so that we could become like Him. He is the most and only supernatural man who ever walked this earth. We are the sub-natural ones until we are born again and conform into His image and likeness. Then we become like Him – supernatural: Sons of God and Sons of man…This is what a supernatural man looks like. This was, is, and always has been God’s original plan.

As Son of man, He is familiar with everything we have experienced, the good, the bad and the ugly, yet without sin. He who knew no sin, became sin for us. There’s a man – spirit, soul and body – seated in the heavenlies.

As Son of God He could show us the Father and is the only One qualified to pay the penalty for sin, past, present and future. God in human flesh and blood. He is a person, with a personality, with likes and dislikes. He loves passionately and completely. He laughs, sings, plays jokes, He loves a good mystery (that’s why He loved speaking in parables). He is joyful, encouraging. He loves surprises. He provides, heals, teaches, weeps and yes, He even gets angry but without sin; He is all that and more than we could ever begin to imagine or think.

What He is not, unfortunately is what is commonly reflected in the local church. He is not a: Ministry; Politician, Idea, Concept, Movement, Building, Thought, Crutch, A means to an end; A tag line at the end of our prayers; Convention; Conference; Meeting, Feeling; Ideology to be studies; Theology; An intriguing Historical Figure; Puzzle to be solved; Lesson to be learned; Legend; Celebration; An Occasion; An event; Process, Sermon; Message; Conversation Piece; Lecture; Picture; Program; Retreat; Evangelism; Side Show; Mystic; Surreal; Debate; Religion; Santa Claus; Bedtime Story; Bible Story; Song; Poem; The flavor of the month; Relativism nor any ‘ism.’

He is more than: Savior; Prophet; Redeemer; Creator; Deliverer; Provider; Counselor; Light; Truth; King; High Priest; Healer; Teacher; Shepherd; Door; Bridge; Gate; Friend; Anything we can imagine. He is “I AM,” EVERYTHING – GOD MOST HIGH ~ Always is, was, and forever will be.

Shalom
